29. The Current Outbreak Is A New Strand
The current outbreak of coronavirus, the one that has public health officials on edge and citizens all across the world worrying about themselves and their loved ones, is a new strand of coronavirus. It is better known as 2019-nCoV, for 2019 novel coronavirus.
This outbreak of coronavirus began in the Wuhan Province of China, and since then, tens of thousands of people have been infected. Over a thousand people have died from it and it’s spread rapidly. The World Health Organization has sent teams of experts to Wuhan Province to try to understand the coronavirus, how it spreads, and what the medical community can do to prevent a worldwide pandemic.
